Use TestnetWallet
A free, non-custodial wallet that runs entirely in your browser, covering the Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Monero testnets. Create one, receive coins, and broadcast transactions. Your keys never leave the tab.
Non-custodial means the wallet generates and stores your keys in your own browser. Nobody else holds them, and there's no account to sign up for. It's a good place to learn how sending and receiving feel.
Never use a real seed
Because this runs in a browser and is built for practice, never paste a real recovery phrase or private key into it. Always generate a fresh, throwaway testnet wallet. The habit matters, because on mainnet pasting a seed into the wrong place loses real money.
Step by step
Open the wallet
Go to TestnetWallet. Nothing to install.
Create a new wallet
It generates a fresh recovery phrase. This is a disposable testnet wallet, so you don't need to guard it like a real one, but do keep it if you want to return to the same coins.
Choose the coin and network
Pick Bitcoin testnet, Litecoin testnet (with MWEB), or Monero testnet/stagenet.
Fund it
Claim coins from the faucet, or point a miner at TestnetPool.
Watch it arrive
Your balance updates once the payment confirms. See how confirmations work.
Send a transaction
Paste another address, set an amount, and send. You choose the fee.
Look it up
Find your transaction on TestnetScan and watch it get mined.
What it can do
Non-custodial
Keys are generated and kept in your browser, not on a server.
Multi-coin
Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Monero testnets in one place (Monero support is in beta).
MWEB support
Peg in and out of Litecoin's confidential MWEB. See the Litecoin guide.
QR codes
Scan and share addresses without copy-paste slips.
Raw broadcast
Push a signed transaction yourself. See broadcasting raw.
In-wallet swaps
Trade coins across chains with non-custodial atomic swaps, right inside the wallet.
Runs anywhere
Just a web page: desktop or mobile, no install.
Testnet coins are fake money
- They have no market value, so never buy or sell them.
- Never use a real seed phrase or import a real wallet on testnet.
- Never send mainnet BTC, LTC, or XMR to a testnet address.
